The Cucumber Standard starts with the crew.

Care for the home, respect for privacy and attention to the customer’s priorities guide every visit.

Before any home visit, we’ll verify identity, references and the right to work, assess practical skills and complete the DBS checks appropriate to the role.

Crew members will sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA) during onboarding. Clear spoken and written English, discretion, professional presentation and attention to household preferences matter in every role. Hotel, hospitality and household experience are welcome.

Training, progression & crew benefits

Have an independent trade or specialist business? Become a preferred partner for gardening, plumbing, professional laundry and other specialist services.

We’re recruiting for flexible crew work. If you’re interested in a permanent supervisor role, choose that option in the same application. We may invite suitable applicants to discuss leading a local crew. Contracts, hours and pay are discussed with each applicant. A short scenario response and your experience start that conversation. A CV is optional.

Your application details
What kind of work interests you?

The same application starts the conversation. We may invite suitable applicants to discuss training, quality checks and leading a local crew. Hours and pay are agreed separately.

Every role needs clear English for instructions and communication. Additional languages are useful skills.

We verify suitable checks and references before appointments. Please do not send certificates or identity documents here.

How would you handle this?

You arrive for a three-hour visit. The client is working from home and has requested washing up, laundry and a tidy kitchen. The washing up is much larger than described, and you must leave at the agreed time. Talk us through what you would do and what you would say to the client.

A simple recording of up to two minutes is enough. No special setting or editing needed.
